Jessica is participating in the Carolina's WE Foundation's 1st Annual 5K Walk/Run to benefit FARA, The Friedreich's Ataxia Research Alliance.
The Outback Steakhouses' of the Carolinas came together in 2008 for the 1st Annual WE Cup Golf Tournament and raised over $200,000 to support Friedreich's Ataxia Research. Friedreich's Ataxia is a rare, genetic, neurodegenerative, multi-system, life-shortening disorder with no known treatment or cure. In the United States, approximately 1 in 50,000 people have Friedreich's Ataxia and 1 in 100 are carriers. Onset of symptoms usually occurs between the ages of 5 and 15.
This year the Carolina's WE Foundation is hosting the 1st Annual 5K Walk/Run to benefit FARA on Sunday, May 17th. Jessica will be walking but she needs your help!
